Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American television chef and host. She also was an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond locks and a lively appearance, shares tips on how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell studied and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. Growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for food and cooking from a young age. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful experience. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a great location to learn. After graduating, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. While in Italy she gained a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine and its culture. This has had a profound impact on the way she prepares her food. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids who have challenges. Burrell is often a guest presenter at conferences, and she travels the country in her mentorship task. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's an honor to be in a position to share this passion for the food industry with people.
